Q. How many people do I need to have a successful party?
A. There really is no set number of people required, however, the more the merrier and the more commission you will earn as the host or co-host. We recommend a minimum of 10 and preferably 20 or more.
Q. What Types of Gold Do You Purchase?
A. All types including damaged jewelry, single earrings, and those with missing stones. We purchase solid gold only. We cannot purchase costume jewelry or plated gold plate.
Q. How much does GoldRefineryUSA pay per gram?
A. We pay the top dollar in the industry for all scrap gold. Prices are based on the karat and weight of the gold. We pay out only on the gram and not by the penny weight. Many buyers will give a false impression by advertising they pay a higher dollar amount per gram. Most often, they are paying out on the Dense Total Weight, or pennyweight mode. Each gram is two thirds a pennyweight. If you have 100 grams it would equate to 66 penny weights.
Q. Are Gold Parties Legal?
A. Yes, they are 100% legal, safe, convenient ways to sell unwanted gold. As long as the company is licensed and insured and the event is not open to the public. It is a private social event and “you” are the host, inviting friends, family, co-workers and neighbors into your home.
Q. What if Some People Can’t Attend My Party?
A. That’s ok, they can either drop off their gold with you in a Ziplock back or you are free to pick-up their gold from them and bring it to the party. Our tester will explain exactly what the gold is worth and you can sell the gold on behalf of that person or call them from the party and they can decide over the phone whether to sell their gold.
Q. What About the Gemstones Set in a Ring or Stone?
A. A majority of the stones in jewelry are glass, however, our representatives are equipped to remove most stones and give them back to take home.
Q. Do You Buy Diamonds?
A. Yes, however we only buy larger diamonds that are 1 karat or larger in size. We will examine them on an individual basis.
Q. Do You Pay on Party Referrals?
A. Yes, We pay 5% commission on all successful party referrals.
Q. How Long Does an Average Party Last?
A. The average party usually lasts 2-3 hours.
Q. How Far Will You Travel for a Gold Party?
A. We will travel 1-2 hours from all major cities within the United States
Q. Where Do You Test and Determine the Value of The Gold?
A. We test and weigh everything right in front of you and explain the process while you watch. This makes everyone completely comfortable with the process.
